A huge study in the British Medical Journal, and another study by the Women’s Health Institute suggest the common practice of doctors regularly imploring women over age 50 to take  more calcium to reduce their risk of osteoporosis and hip fractures may not do much good and can actually cause other health problems. So before you start supplementing with calcium do more research and remember: natural should always be your goal.
